Chrysler UK has announced a range of new enhancements to the 2010 Grand Voyager line-up. These improvements will boost the premium proposition of the Grand Voyager while lowering the ownership cost.

Available in three derivatives - the Limited, Touring and LX - the front-wheel drive Grand Voyager is equipped with a six speed automatic transmission and a choice of two engines: a 3.8-litre V6 petrol engine and a 2.8-litre turbo diesel engine. The Grand Voyager is priced from £26,995 OTR for the entry model LX to £34,995 for the range-topping 2.8-litre diesel Limited model, while the 3.8-litre petrol version costs £35,495.

It comes equipped with Stow 'n Go seats, third-row power side windows, power sliding side doors, a removable torch, power tailgatre rear-view interior conversation mirror, automatic three-zone climate control and directional LED reading lamps as standard. The Limited models also receive rain sensitive wipers, back-up camera and power folding 3rd row Stow 'n Go.

The car was also made with the passenger's entertainment in mind. There is an optional dual-screen DVD system allowing second-row passengers to play a video game or watch a movie to those in the third row. Also, there is an uconnect gps system offering a voice-controlled and touchscreen navigation system, MP3 player compatibility and the ability to store over 4,000 songs on a 30GB hard drive.

Safety wise, ESP, traction control, front and all-row side-curtain air bags, seven full-size seats featuring fixings for three Isofix child seats and tyre-pressure monitoring all come as standard equipment across the range. The 2010 models will also benefit from the addition of active headrests.

The Grand Voyager diesel version has improved fuel economy by over 10 percent and returns up to 33.6mpg on a combined cycle, thus reducing ownership cost. Carbon dioxide emission has also been reduced by 10 percent and has dropped a tax band saving £200 of road tax in the first year.

The range also comes with 60,000-mile/three year mechanical warranty, European roadside assistance for one year and anti-corrosion warranty for seven years.

"With more than 25 years as the world's best selling MPV, and with over 12 million vehicles sold worldwide, the Grand Voyager remains the most luxurious MPV on sale in the UK marketplace and offers the ultimate flexibility and utility for active lifestyles", said Nigel Land, marketing director of Chrysler UK.
