Citroen takes safety honour
1 July 2009Drivers of new and used Citroen models may be impressed to hear the company has scooped an honour for its work on ensuring its autos offer occupants as much protection as possible.
Brake handed the group the title of Best Vehicle Manufacturer at its 2009 Fleet Safety Forum Awards.
The carmaker prides itself on its achievements in this area.
It highlighted the fact its C6 was the first auto to receive a five-star Euro Ncap rating for both adult and pedestrian protection.
Meanwhile, the firm's C4 model also received a five-star mark for adult safety.
People who buy one of the company's vehicles were advised they can expect a range of equipment designed to help reduce their chances of being in an accident and, if a collision becomes unavoidable, provide the highest possible levels of protection to occupants.
Such features include lane departure warning technology and head-up displays.
Meanwhile, motorists may find they can get a good deal on a used Citroen C3 next year when the new version of the car is released.
