Citroen is bound for an exciting tour - transporting comic duo Christian Ancliff and Dan Adams to their first ever show at Edinburgh Fringe Festival using a stylish supermini DS3.
The 'Citroen DS3 Ecomedy Tour' will see the two stand-up comedians driving a DS3 DStyle 99g and travelling from London to Edinburgh, a more than 500-mile journey, in one tank of fuel. The tour is supporting Helen & Douglas House, a hospice based in Oxford providing respite and care for children and adults.
The six-day tour kicks off in London on 1 August and finishes in Edinburgh on 6 August. Adams and Ancliff will be performing each night during the tour at The Cavendish Arms, London (1 August), George's Jamboree, Oxford (2 August), Cox's Yard, Stratford upon Avon (3 August), The Comedy Store, Manchester (4 August) and Uisge Beatha, Glasgow (5 August). They will be performing their Festival show - 'Baggage of Being', from 7-28 August at The Globe (Venue 389).
"Citroen is delighted to be supporting the fresh new talent of Dan and Christian as they head to their debut Fringe. We're also excited to see how our DS3 99g performs across such a great distance. It's a unique and exciting project to be involved in, and for a very worthwhile cause", said Marc Raven, communications director of Citroën UK.
Powered by an ultra-efficient 1.6HDi 90hp engine, the DS3 DStyle 99g emits just 99g/km of CO2 and has an average fuel economy of 74.3mpg. The fuel-saving credentials of the car will be put on test during the six-day urban and motorway driving.
To allow fans follow all the fun and action, the duo will be updating a special tour microsite (ecomedytour.com) with pictures, videos and blogs every day.
