Citroen named best family car
22 December 2009
A Citroen has been named the best family car by a newspaper.
The Daily Express has given the title of best family car of 2009 to a vehicle by Citroen.A mixture of compactness, flexible seating and good storage facilities contributed to get the title for the C3 Picasso.
The newspaper described it as "a great family alternative to the new breed of cross-overs" and praised it for its overall performance.
Another contender for the "Motoring Oscar" was the Skoda Yeti.
Citroen's C3 Picasso had already won five awards so far this year, including accolades from Top Gear and Auto Express.
The car manufacturer created a special TV advert to promote the new C3.
Released earlier this month, the advertisement shows a couple connecting the vehicle to a shipping crane to set it to swing, allowing them to take in the view from the Zenith windscreen.
The new C3 is a supermini and will be available from mid-January, with prices beginning at £10,790 for a petrol car.
