Clarkson: Brand loyalty will draw people to the MiTo
25 March 2009
Jeremy Clarkson has stated that he loves the Alfa Romeo MiTo because of the brand of the vehicle.
Although it could be argued that there are better small cars on the market, there is still something appealing about the Alfa Romeo MiTo, according to Jeremy Clarkson.Writing for the Times, the Top Gear presenter indicates that it is brand loyalty that attracts people to the range and those like him that are loyal to Alfa will have a lot of fun in the vehicle.
Test driving the MiTo 1.4 TB Veloce, Clarkson reveals that he "loved" the vehicle despite it having a few drawbacks.
He remarked that he was impressed by the interior, "which feels like it belongs in a much more expensive car", while the turbocharged engine was also appreciated.
However, the thing that he most loved was the fact that if he was approached by someone who asked which car he drove, he could respond by saying an Alfa.
The car is also able to reach a top speed of 134 miles per hour and provides drivers with a combined fuel efficiency of 43.5 miles to the gallon.
Channel four commented in a review of the MiTo that the vehicle has "great styling" and a "distinctive cabin design".
