Comfort and acceleration in Mercedes-Benz C-Class
10 March 2009
Motorists have been told they will witness comfort and speed in the Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
Used car drivers looking for a vehicle with a tad more class and comfort, alongside fast acceleration, may want to book a test drive in the Mercedes C-Class.Peter Hayward states in the Dumfries and Galloway Standard that the "acceleration through the gears is brilliant" on the C-Class, especially in the 1.8-litre engine he was driving.
Furthermore, he revealed that the "long travel clutch is light and easy" and cruising along the motorway is "superb".
Motorists will also be in for a quiet ride, with little in the way of noise filtering through into the cabin, where the interior is described as being "svelte and sophisticated".
In terms of what can be achieved behind the wheel, a motorist is capable of reaching a top speed of 146 miles per hour, while the car can accelerate to 62 miles per hour from still in 8.8 seconds.
A review of the C-Class by Andrew Frankel in the Times last year highlighted that the vehicle is "good to drive" and more refined compared to past models.
