Daihatsu has claimed its new Materia could be perfect for drivers looking for a spacious ride.
Motorists looking for a spacious auto that is not too big to handle may be impressed by a model from Daihatsu. The manufacturer has described the new Materia mini MPV as "the Tardis of vehicles".
It claimed the model is perfect for large families, despite being four inches shorter than a Volkswagen Polo.
A sliding rear bench allows owners to increase either legroom for passengers in the back or boot space depending upon their needs at any one particular time.
Paul Hegarty from Daihatsu commented: "The Materia is a superbly stylish urban warrior that's equally happy taking the whole family on holiday or nipping about in the city."
The company also said it was proud of the vehicle's green credentials.
Buyers will find it offers fuel economy of 46.3 mpg and carbon dioxide emissions of 169 g/km.
Alternatively, motorists may decide to opt for a used Daihatsu Terios - which the manufacturer also recently described as a great family car.
