Diesel Spider could outshine petrol model
10 March 2009
A reviewer has stated that the diesel offering of the Alfa Romeo Spider could be just as good as the petrol model.
Although buying a diesel sports car is a hard concept for many used car fans to get their head around, it could end up working brilliantly in the Alfa Romeo Spider, according to a reviewer.Writing for the Lennox Herald, Jonathan Smith has stated that there is a "good chance" that the diesel version of the Spider could "outshine" the petrol offerings in the range.
Away from the engine, Mr Smith states that the Spider has a "stunning shape", while drivers can also witness the delights of cowled dials and leather seats.
Meanwhile, there is also plenty of space for drivers to store their luggage, while Mr Smith reveals that a motorist should be able to travel around 600 miles before needing to stop for a refill.
Overall, he comments that the Spider JTDm is "undemanding and easy to drive", alongside being "one of the best looking droptops on the road".
A past review of the Alfa Romeo Spider from Channel Four stated the vehicle had "great looks" and provided drivers with "stable" handling.
