The first Lotus Evora has been received by a customer from Twickenham.
Used Lotus drivers may be envious of one driver from Twickenham when they hear about his latest purchase.Matthew Melling recently became the first customer to be handed the keys of an Evora.
The driver explained he had been determined to take to the road in the car before any other member of the public.
"I laid down my deposit within seconds of the order books being opened last year," Mr Melling stated.
He added: "I have read all the press reviews of the Evora and am so excited about getting behind the wheel."
According to Lotus, demand for the model has resulted in the company taking on an extra 150 manufacturing staff.
It revealed the group has already received enough orders to fill the next five months of production.
Meanwhile, Lotus recently reported the 2010 versions of the Elise and Exige offer significantly lower CO2 emissions than their predecessors.
