Citroen has once again shown its love for the environment with its new hatchback - the C4. Now, fleet company Egton Medical Information Systems Ltd (EMIS) has chosen the car to cut down on CO2 emissions and improve its car fleets fuel efficiency.
One of Citroens most loyal fleet customers, EMIS will purchase 75 Citroen cars this year, in which most of them are the C4 1.6HDi 90hp VTR hatchbacks with the rest composed of C5 1.6HDi 110hp VTR saloons.
Currently, the French automaker has delivered 30 of these well-equipped and highly-efficient cars, which combine excellent 64.2mpg combined cycle fuel savings and CO2 emissions of only 115g/km with Band C vehicle excise duty (starting 1 April).
EMIS is committed to a continuous process of reducing its vehicle CO2 emissions and improving fleet fuel efficiency. The latest C4 hatchbacks and C5 saloons we are now ordering meet our increasingly stringent environmental and financial targets with even lower CO2 emissions and better fuel economy, said EMIS Fleet Manager Rachel McLaughlan.
EMIS has been faithfully acquiring Citroens cars for nearly 18 years. It has a 300-plus strong fleet composed almost entirely of HDi powered Citroens. It operates its Citroen coupes over a four-year/100,000 miles coverage service life.
EMIS, a growing UK-based company, is a major provider of primary care software used by more than half of General Practices in the UK as well as globally.
