The Telegraph's Honest John has recommended that one female driver considers the Fiat 500C as her used car of choice.
An automotive specialist has advised one middle-aged woman to purchase a used Fiat 500C after she received money from her partner to buy a new vehicle. The 52-year-old Telegraph reader wrote to the newspaper's Honest John column, stating that she was "young-at-heart", had a budget of £13,500 and was looking for something "fun to drive".
Honest John responded by claiming that Fiat 500C Diesel 1.3 Multijet Pop would be the perfect solution, as it comes with enough room in the back seats for her two daughters and will allow the woman to put her eldest child onto the insurance policy.
"Just be aware that the DPF (diesel particulate filter) in this engine requires regular regeneration. The diesel cannot be used solely for short runs from cold and the oil needs to be checked regularly for contamination from fuel oil," the expert added.
The car's manufacturer, Ford, recently marked the occasion of the two-year anniversary of the launch of the Fiat 500 in the UK with a private viewing of several special editions of the model in London.
