Formula One ace Johnny Herbert is to start competing in the British Touring Car Championship.

Followers of the British Touring Car Championship may be tempted to buy a used Honda Civic after seeing what a former Formula One ace can do in the model.

Johnny Herbert has been drafted in to take the place of James Thompson who cannot compete in the final three rounds of the season due to prior engagements.

As a result, from the Silverstone stage, fans will get to see what Herbert can do behind the wheel.

Johnny will be driving the Type R version of the Honda Civic and he has already had the opportunity to trial the vehicle, as he was present for summer testing at Rockingham.

"I'm really excited to be racing in the Civic. It's very different to what I was used to in Formula One but no less of an adrenaline rush," he stated.

Alternatively, motorists looking to buy a second-hand auto may want to consider a used Honda Accord, after Which? named the model the most reliable in the UK.
