Four-seater convertible offered by the Volkswagen Eos
11 March 2009
The Volkswagen Eos has been touted as a convertible for the family.
Motorists looking for a convertible that doubles up as a family car could find what they desire with the Volkswagen Eos.Piers Ward states on Top Gear that the vehicle includes a cabin where there is space to fit two people in the back, which is "quite an achievement".
For his review Mr Ward was behind the wheel of the Eos 2.0 T FSI Sport and he highlights that the vehicle benefits from being remarkably unflustered by much.
The steering in the Eos is precise, while a smooth drive can be witnessed.
However, he indicates that the vehicle does take a walk on the "wild side" through the lack of front traction, which means that wheel spin is easily created at the front when a driver accelerates.
Overall, Mr Ward argues that the Eos is a "good car", with the chance of being the best in its class, partly as a result of its "very clinical edge".
What Car? stated in a review of the Volkswagen Eos CC that it "drives well", while having a "classy image and superb build".
