After launching the first Moving Motor Show earlier this month as part of the Festival of Speed, Goodwood is now introducing a new annual used car festival - 'Vintage at Goodwood.'

The festival, which is scheduled from 13 - 15 August, is dedicated to celebrating the five decades of British coolness from the 1940s to the 1980s. It will bring together and celebrate the art, design, fashion, film, music and dance from the influential era to provide an unforgettable experience.

Top fashions, art, design, dance, DJs, a Vintage High Street, and live music performances from top bands and artists are to be featured. In addition, the event will feature period vehicles galore - scooters, hot rods, camper vans, caravans, commercial vehicles, classic bikes and cars, with desirable and popular vehicles representing each decade.

Visitors can expect to witness popular family vehicles from Austin, Morris and Ford, and more exotic Jaguar and Rolls-Royce from the 1940s. The 'British is Best' Vauxhall Velox and MG MGA from the 1950s will be featured with GPO vans and taxis. Many of the most famous cars in the UK from the 1960s will also be on hand, such as the pioneering Mini, Aston Martin DB5 and Jaguar E-Type, along with the 1970s' motoring legends including the Triumph 2500, Jaguar XJ6 and Ford Capri, amongst others. Meanwhile, car display from the 1980s will include a Ford Sierra XR4i, Lotus Esprit Turbo and Austin Metro.

Other classic vehicles to be featured in the festival include 1960s and 1950s microcars, Rockers motorcycles, Mods scooters, American-inspired hot rods, 1940s-1980s camper vans and touring caravans, plus the eras' everyday working vehicles. The event will also celebrate the 60th anniversary of the iconic VW Camper Van.

The Vintage at Goodwood is also seen as an "appetite-whetter" for the upcoming Goodwood Revival, which is scheduled from 17 -19 September, as the most authentic historic motor race meeting in the world.
