Honda Accord given five star Euro NCAP rating
27 February 2009Used car fans looking for a vehicle offering the ultimate in road safety may want to fully explore the Honda Accord.
The Accord has been awarded five stars in its crash test ratings from Euro NCAP, where it achieved an overall weighted score of 78 per cent.
Broken down, half of the overall score is based on adult protection, 20 per cent on both child and pedestrian protection, while the remaining ten per cent focuses on the inclusion of safety assistance devices.
The Honda Accord features an Advanced Capability Engineering Body Structure to enhance the protection it offers passengers.
Features of the framework include a front-mounted polygonal main frame, which is "designed to prevent cabin deformation by distributing forces through multiple major load bearing pathways".
A smooth ride in comfy seats is one of the benefits of driving a Honda Accord, according to a review of the vehicle by Channel Four.
The comfortableness of the seats is helped by the fact that they are "well-shaped" and offer "plenty of support for longer journeys", the review highlights.
