After introducing its first diesel-powered model to the UK market earlier this month, luxury carmaker Infiniti has now announced pricing and specification for its second diesel-powered model. Dubbed the EX30d, this compact SUV goes on sale in the UK in July and will cost from £35,975 for the entry-level model.
The new EX30d is powered by a 3-litre V6 turbo-diesel engine that can deliver 235b horse power and 550Nm of torque at 1,750rpm. The power is supplied to the wheels through a seven-speed automatic transmission. The car can cover 0 to 62pmh in just 7.9 seconds and can reach a maximum speed of 137mph. Moreover, the car delivers more miles per gallon than the petrol EX model and produces only 224g/km of CO2.
The EX30d will be offered in three trim levels. The entry-level model comes with 18" alloy wheels, Xenon headlights, climate control, electric windows all round, front and rear parking sensors, cruise control, a CD stereo with Bluetooth and MP3 connection and electric adjustment for the front seats.
Meanwhile, the EX30d GT model features an electrically adjusted steering column, heated front seats with position memory, leather upholstery, and rear air conditioning vent. The GT model is priced starting at £37,305.
Finally, the range-topping EX30d GT Premium model is equipped with Intelligent Cruise Control, upgraded infotainment system, Intelligent Brake Assist and Forward Collision Warning. Prices for the GT Premium version start at £41,220.
Infiniti expects that the EX30d range will greatly boost the marque's SUV appeal to British customers, and the latest model is thought to account for 80% of all EX sales.
