Infiniti has revealed the first photos of its newest compact diesel crossover, the EX30d, a dynamic all-wheel vehicle that has the torque and power to compete with any model in the class.
Coming from the newest luxury car brand in Europe, the Infiniti EX30d features quiet yet high performance coupled with reduced fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. It is fitted with a specially-made V6 diesel engine that complies with all the standard of the brands creed of Inspired Performance.
The EX30ds piezo-injection 3.0-litre V6 provides 238 PS (235 bhp) with an unrivalled 550 Nm (406 lb ft) of torque. It has a standard 7-speed automatic transmission and can go from 0-62 mph in only 7.9 seconds. However, its performance is greatly defined by its enormous torque output, which is greater compared even to the storming 5.0-litre petrol V8 of Infiniti. The EX30d has a pulling power reaching a maximum of 1750 rpm.
Infinitis advanced V9X V6 engine includes a compacted graphite iron (CGI) block for light weight with excellent enhancement. The diesel cars cooling requirements necessitated an airflow change, thus the re-profiled front bumper with additional air intakes. Fortunately, this is the only exterior modification for a model widely acclaimed as the best-looking vehicle and the original coupe crossover.
The EX30d is the second model in the Infiniti range to feature the latest diesel V6. The company will start selling the EX30d in the UK during the summer, at prices that have yet to be revealed.
The new Infiniti EX30d will be sold in three different grades, which include a new Premium edition with all of the best-loved features included.
