Lamborghini presented with health and safety gong

Carmaker Lamborghini has been honoured for its approach to promoting health and safety in the workplace.
Sportscar maker Lamborghini has been presented with a special prize at the first-ever National Forum of Health and Safety in the Workplace.The event, which took place in Bologna, was hosted by the Alma Mater Foundation and Bologna University and saw the carmaker pick up the prize for safety and social awareness.
In particular, the firm was applauded for improving conditions for its workers, its "innovative" programmes to safeguard the health of its staff and its culture of safety awareness.
Last year, Lamborghini asserted that its new Gallardo LP 560-4 Spyder vehicle offers "a driving experience like no other".
The Gallardo LP 560-4, which boasts a top speed of 201mph, has been available to consumers since 2008.
Among the features of the new model includes "significantly improved" aerodynamics, LED daytime running lights, a direct fuel injection system and a lighter weight - the vehicle is 20kg lighter than its predecessor.
