While enticing petrolheads with the launch of the brand-new 2011 Range Rover, Land Rover UK has unveiled a limited anniversary edition of the model, which is now also available for ordering. Dubbed as the Autobiography Black, the model is launched to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Range Rover.
The Autobiography Black is finished in unique Barolo Black, with 20-inch 'Diamond Turned' alloy wheels, a bespoke front grille with Titan grille mesh, a black grille surround and bright chrome grille 'U' edge. Side vents feature a new mesh capped off by a black vent surround and bright chrome bars. The special look is completed by body coloured door handles and the tailgate badge, 'Autobiography Black'.
Inside, there is a choice of standard Jet colour theme or two colourways distinct to the Autobiography Black, the Jet and Pimento, or Jet and Ivory. The Autobiography Black logo, as expected, is found throughout the interior where it appears on four Grand Black door veneers and imprinted on the rear seat armrest. The Front door sill tread plates are lit up with the word 'Range Rover' and there is a half-wood Grand Black steering wheel. In addition, supercharged models offer gearknob veneers.
"At the top of the Range, the new Autobiography Black 40th anniversary limited edition offers customers the option of complete exclusivity with unique colourway combinations as well as striking interior and exterior design features. Only 700 will be made globally, emphasising the exclusivity of this limited edition", said Gerry McGovern, design director of Land Rover.
