Latest CX-7 may appeal to used Mazda drivers
12 August 2009
Mazda's new CX-7 is due to go on sale in October.
Used Mazda buyers keen to reduce their carbon footprint may find an updated model from the manufacturer proves a good option in the future. The latest version of the CX-7 offers both improved economy and lower CO2 emissions.
According to Mazda, this is largely down to the inclusion of its MZR-CD diesel 2.2-litre turbo engine.
It stated the unit complies with Euro 5 emissions regulations, describing it as both "highly efficient" and "clean-running".
However, the manufacturer suggested motorists would not be expected to compromise on performance in order to improve their green credentials, claiming the model offers a sporty drive.
The new set of wheels is due to be unveiled at next month's Frankfurt International Motor Show, before arriving in showrooms up and down the UK in October.
Meanwhile, sales of used Mazda MX-5 cars may have received a boost recently, when the vehicle was named Best Roadster at the annual Auto Express honours.
