Lexus, the luxury car division of Toyota Motors, has announced pricing for the newly-revised GS 450h hybrid destined for the UK market. The car, powered by a 3.5-lire petrol V6 engine and a 650V electric motor, now boasts new interior trims, alloy wheel designs, choices for exterior colour, and two equipment grades - the SE and SE-L.
The entry-level Lexus GS 450h SE wears a price tag of £43,035, the GS 450h SE-L costs £47,280, and the range-topping GS 450h SE-L with sunroof and ACC/PCS is priced at £50,185.
In terms of styling, the car boasts a new front grille design featuring a group of horizontal bars. In addition, the hybrid-blue rear lamp clusters were tailored to incorporate transparent, larger outer lenses. The SE version has 17" alloys, with five-double-spoke 18" wheels offered in a combined package which includes parking sensors, while the SE-L model features a new 18" alloy wheel design.
The car's cabin features a new hybrid-blue backlit start/stop button and an option for fresh Venaro Grey semi-aniline leather upholstery, with contrasting grey bird's eye maple wood grain trim and black stitching. As mentioned above, there are three new shades - Atlantic Blue, Richmond Green and Vanilla Mist.
Safety-wise, Lexus has revised the GS 450h's Pre-Crash Safety system to include pre-crash brake technology in order to support the conventional brake assist functions and pre-crash seatbelt.
Moreover, just like its sister Lexus models, the GS 450h features a new 40GB hard disc drive navigation system, providing coverage across Europe with traffic data capture in every state. The HDD also has 10GB of storage capacity for drivers to build their own sound library.
The GS 450h range also features two audio systems - a 14-speaker Mark Levinson Premium Surround Sound System and a 10-speaker Lexus premium package. The Bluetooth, which is offered as standard, has an audio streaming function. Drivers can enhance their audio systems to receive DAB as an option.
