An informative exhibition on the future of vehicles has been opened at Mercedes-Benz World located at Weybridge, Surrey.

The biggest automotive brand centre in Britain has opened a special display of the Mercedes-Benz BlueEFFICIENCY, which unites the most advanced cutting-edge technology in order to lessen and eventually halt CO2 emissions.

Mercedes-Benz World has put on display the latest stage in the development of hydrogen-powered fuel cells with the B-Class F-Cell. It is the newest evolution of this advanced technology, which will be introduced worldwide in 2010 through customer trials. The cars cutaway model is a major part of the display, enabling onlookers to gain a deeper understanding of this zero-emission car. The electric motor of the F-Cell makes use of energy produced from hydrogen, which is converted in a technologically-advanced fuel cell. The vehicle only gives off pure water vapour.

Additionally, visitors are allowed to enter an innovative 360 degree interactive zone wherein they can choose among several display options and gain knowledge about various developments: the features in the BlueEFFICIENCY that cut emissions and improve the cars fuel efficiency; the way hybrid cars are revolutionising the automotive scene; the DIESOTTO engine, which provides the power of a petrol engine at the cost of a diesel; the initiative to adopt the use of renewable raw materials and heighten recycling; the reason why lithium-ion batteries have made electrically powered cars a viable automobile; and the way Mercedez-Benz has adopted bionics as a means to present natures growing contribution to the future cars.

Additionally, the exhibition also shows one of the most advanced Mercedes-Benz BlueTEC engines which feature the worlds cleanest diesel technology. A cutaway model displays the internal operations of the AdBlue technology which lessens emissions through the injection of a special fluid into the exhaust system.
