More used Toyotas a possibility with new release

25 January 2010

The launch of a new model could lead to more used Toyotas coming on to the market.

People who are looking for used Toyotas may get more selection if existing owners decide to switch to the latest model.

The Auris 2010 has been released and the car maker says that it has been "comprehensively restyled inside and out".

According to a statement by the firm, the suspension on the car has been improved for European roads.

Changes have also been made to the cabin console to make it easier to use and the Optitron dials are now lit up in white.

Toyota expects to release a full hybrid that is British-built in July, called the Auris HSD.

Recently, the car brand was able to boast about its environmental credentials, as it topped a chart compiled by Clean Green Cars.

It was found to have the lowest average carbon dioxide emission rate per km in 2009, at 127.86.

Fiat, Mini, Hyundai, Peugeot and Citroen came in next.
