BMW has introduced its new 5 Series Saloon range.
Drivers of used BMWs may be tempted to upgrade to the manufacturer's new 5 Series Saloon range, if the carmaker's comments are anything to go by.The firm has unveiled the sixth generation of its popular motor, which is the first of the company's cars to feature stop-start technology.
Many of the car's features are tailored to the comfort of the driver, such as the long wheelbase that provides more room for the motorist's legs.
The "sporting but luxurious" seating incorporates the comfort elements found in the BMW 7 Series and has an asymmetrically designed centre console for ease of reach.
"Sixth generation BMW 5 Series Saloon offers customers the perfect blend of class-leading powerplants, unrivalled driving dynamics and a sporting yet elegant design to set a new benchmark in the executive class," the company asserted.
The different models offer a range of performances. For example, the BMW 550i SE Saloon has 407 hp, provides 600 Nm of torque, can reach zero to 62 mph in 62 seconds and has a top speed of 155 mph.
In addition, this particular auto has CO2 emissions of 243 g/km, whereas the BMW 520d SE Saloon offers 132 g/km.
Fleet News recently revealed that BMWs are some of the most dependable cars on the road as part of the FN50 Reliability Survey.
