New and used Ford drivers of a particular age group have been given some tips on how to be safer at the wheel.According to the manufacturer, certain demographics are more likely to skimp on essential car maintenance if they are short of cash.
But Ford customer services director Andy Barratt highlighted how dangerous this can be.
"Young drivers are more at risk of getting into difficult situations This can be dangerous, especially as their vehicles are likely to be older."
Anyone with a used Ford should maintain and care for their car just as they would if it was brand-new, the company added.
It is collaborating with the AA on the scheme and announced its intention to do so ahead of National Road Safety Week, which beings on November 23rd.
The theme of this year's event is Not a drop, not a drag. This focuses on stamping out drink-driving, as well as urging motorists not to take "even a drag on a joint or any other illegal drug".
