New Audi sports in-car technology

Cutting-edge satellite navigation is among the technology in the latest Audi model.

If you are looking for a used Audi, you may find more come on the market as people upgrade to the newest model.

The Audi A8, to be released next year, features in-car information technology including a point-of-interest search that is powered by Google.

In addition, Audi claims that the car is the first production automobile to have Google Earth available within on an eight-inch LCD display.

The technology within the car uses a mobile phone network to receive information from the internet and present it to the driver.

Occupants need only connect their mobile phones to the MMI using Bluetooth or put a SIM card into the system.

Audi intends to add a new UMTS modem to the car in the middle of 2010 to enable Google Earth.

Businesspeople who drive second-hand Audis can be secure in the knowledge that the A3 was recently named Executive Used Car of the Decade by CAP.
