After the BMW Series Saloon went on sale this month the popular BMW Touring model will arrive in the United Kingdom in September.
The 4th Gen Touring model offers traditional BMW driving qualities as well as elegance for motorists seeking versatility, adaptability and flexibility from their vehicles.
The new BMW 5 Series Touring, which initially comes in four versions, provides two diesel model choices, the BMW 530d and BMW 520d, and two petrol car choices, the BMW 535i and BMW 523i. Each version is packed with modern technology to ensure class-leading performance, lower CO2 emissions and fuel economy, and also provide a comfortable, elegant and driver-oriented estate vehicle.
Every BMW Series Touring model is offered as standard a six-speed manual gearbox, which has greater efficiency than earlier transmissions. The series has a sportier, smoother gearshift as a result of its improved internal packaging and restyled gearshift lever.
The new Touring range brings together the luxury of the BMW 7 Series through the choice of BMWs new eight-speed automatic transmission. While it has six percent more fuel efficiency, the gearboxs size and weight remain the same. Buyers of any variant can specify either the eight-speed automatic gearbox or the eight-speed Sport automatic transmission equipped with steering wheel-mounted paddles for motorists who like a more enthusiastic driving style.
The BMW Series Touring also comes with a variety of optional equipment to improve driver comfort, safety and enjoyment, including a Head-up Display, Lane Departure Warning, Night Vision with pedestrian recognition, Lane Change Warning, Speed Limit Info, as well as a pair of rear entertainment packages.
The series will go on sale on September 18th.
