BMW has built its ALPINA D3, which delivers in all areas including performance and economy.
BMW has created a car that offers both power and environmental concern with the ALPINA D3.The vehicle is a saloon car version of the acclaimed D3 and delivers "more than any larger engined counterpart in terms of performance, economy, low emissions and sheer exclusivity", according to the manufacturer.
Among the statistics of the vehicle is that it can accelerate to 62 miles per hour from standstill in 6.9 seconds and offers a combined fuel consumption of 52.3 miles to the gallon with a manual gearbox.
Furthermore, the D3 generates 143g/km of CO2 with a manual gearbox and this increases slightly to 148g/km when a motorist opts for an automatic.
John Quigley, managing director of ALPINA GB, said: "The new car is even better than the previous model in all the key areas; performance is improved, yet both fuel economy and crucially - emissions are reduced."
He added that the previous model was "one of our most successful cars ever".
According to BMW, the ALPINA offers "distinctive exterior design with striking functional aerodynamics" and refined handling.
