New innovations for second-gen Z4

Some first time included features will be on offer on the new BMW Z4.
Fans of the BMW roadster will be interested to know of the latest addition to the family, which will include a host of new features to be added to a model for the first time.It has been revealed that the BMW Z4 is to go on sale in May 2009 and will include a range of innovations new to the BMW fleet of roadsters.
These consist of a two-piece, electro-hydraulically operated, retractable hard-top roof, which can be raised or lowered in 20 seconds.
Also, an Adaptive M Suspension is to be included for the first time, with electronically controlled dampers allowing a driver to change their ride height by up to 10mm for a more dynamic drive.
A final first for used car drivers is a Drive Dynamic Control function, which will allow a motorist to alter their throttle and steering response, as well as their level of ride comfort.
The latest release is the second generation BMW Z4, with the first being produced in 2002 as a replacement for the BMW Z3.
