A new Range Rover has an improved fuel consumption, as well as better speed, a new review reveals.
New and used Range Rover enthusiasts may be interested to learn that an updated version of the motor is now on the market. The 2010 model of the V8, available in 3.6-litre turbodiesel and five-litre supercharged petrol, has been described as a welcome upgrade by one reviewer.
David Williams, writing for the Telegraph, noted the improved fuel consumption of the vehicle, which has been reduced by 7.3 per cent.
However, this does not necessarily mean performance has likewise been reduced, since the V8 petrol engine can achieve 510 bhp and 461 lb of torque, reaching zero to 60 mph in 5.9 seconds.
It can also manage a top speed of 140 mph, according to the review.
Meanwhile, the car comes equipped with a Thin Film Transistor screen, which enables the driver and passenger to view different images at the same time, for example, satnav and a movie respectively.
In addition, five external cameras help to keep an eye on the road, while the high beam assist technology automatically switched on the vehicle's lights when visibility is low.
Mr Williams summarised by saying: "More bling than before but also faster, more frugal, less polluting and remarkably competent off-road."
