Used car fans looking for an award-winning vehicle to give them a boost could find the new Mazda3 to their liking.The new vehicle is to be launched across Europe next spring and is said to blend together "sporty driving and dynamic design" with "top class environmental and safety performance".
Enthusiasts could pick up the vehicle as either a hatchback or a saloon, with among the improvements to the older Mazda3 being a six to 11 per cent noise reduction.
Other changes include aerodynamic improvements, a change of gear stick position to make for easier driving and new sports seats and interactive lighting control.
Program manager, Yoshiyuki Maeda, said: "We focused on achieving an exhilarating experience that drivers would sense directly.
"We targeted dynamic driving performance that responds to the driver's intention and excellent environmental and safety features that offer pride and confidence whenever the driver is behind the wheel."
The release of the new Mazda3 comes five years after the debut of its predecessor, which has won 90 automobile awards worldwide and sold over 1.8 million units.
