The best selling pick-up in Europe, The NissanNavara, and its SUV sibling, The Pathfinder, retained their high demand due to several important enhancements made to the designs.
Some of the changes include the arrival of the newly developed and advanced 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine; significant improvements to the famous 2.5-litre dCi diesel; higher levels of safety; a state-of-the-art Nissan Connect Premium Sat-Nav system, the rear view camera, and a Bose sound system; improved quality of interior design; and several changes in styles to maintain the sharp appearance of Pathfinder and Navara.
The direct injection V6 turbodiesel was designed by the Renault-Nissan Alliance, aiming to provide a higher level of performance.
An important element of the V6 is the substance used for engine block. The developing engineers used Compacted Graphite Iron (CGI), which provides all the advantages of iron with the absence of the heavy weight.
Using the knowledge gained when developing the Alliance 2.0-litre dCi engine, the new V6 was made even faster, making several significant changes to the hardware of the V9X. For instance, the combustion chamber design was optimised in order to make the balance between fuel efficiency and emission levels better.
The changes result in a low-end but strong performance. Additionally, the engine provides a powerful towing performance. The fuel efficiency and emission level targets of the cars have attained Euro 5 compliance.
The transformation of the Pathfinders rear includes the new bumper design that provides a larger and lower mass for a tougher appearance.
