Orders open for new Volkswagen

06 January 2010

There may be more used Volkswagens on the market after the release of a new model.

Customers wishing to buy the new Volkswagen car can now place their orders.

The introduction of the new Volkswagen Eos with BlueMotion technology may cause existing owners to sell their old vehicles, bringing more used Volkswagens into the market for buyers.

Priced at £20,695 and £21,795 for S and SE trims respectively, the new Eos includes the technology to improve its efficiency and economy for fuel.

Able to go from zero to 62 mph in 10.9 seconds, the car also has a 1.4 litre TSI engine.

Its top speed is 121 mph.

Other features include regenerative braking, twin front and side airbags, 16-inch alloy wheels and a gear change recommendation display.

This month also sees Volkswagen Motorsport preparing its five Race Touaregs for the Dakar Rally, where it is defending its title.

Owners of iPhones can use the Dakar Rally application from Volkswagen to get real-time information and updates regarding the famous race.
