Buyers of new and used cars who look for vehicles that combine great performance with good green credentials may be impressed with Audi's latest offering.

The manufacturer has revealed its updated version of the A3 is equipped with a 1.6-litre engine.

It pointed out this allows the auto to accelerate from zero to 62 mph in 11.4 seconds before going on to a maximum speed of 121 mph.

However, the company also highlighted the fact this performance does not come at the expense of the planet.

It explained the car is capable of almost 69 mpg and boasts CO2 emissions of 109 g/km.

Drivers can purchase the vehicle from £17,485.
