Pleasing simplicity to DBS frontier
07 January 2009
A review of the Aston Martin DBS has stated that the vehicle has a 'pleasing simplicity' at the front.
One of the major improvements in the Aston Martin DBS is the "pleasing simplicity" of the frontier compared with past vehicles from the manufacturer, it has been stated.Writing for the Daily Telegraph, Andrew English believes that the dashboard is far simpler than previous models, while there are "big buttons with clear labels".
The radio/CD player, along with the heating and ventilation system are both fitted with "simple tuning and volume dials", while throughout a lot of attention to detail has been shown.
Used car drivers interested in performance, may be pleased to know that the ZF automatic transmission is quoted to work "brilliantly", while the six speeds on offer are more than enough.
The vehicle includes a 6.0-litre V12 engine, capable of reaching a top speed of 191 miles per hour.
From standstill, 62 miles per hour can be reached in a rapid 4.3 seconds, with the main areas of the vehicle liked by Mr English being the "shape, steering and it's unreal performance".
The DBS was first seen by second hand car drivers in the 2006 James Bond film Casino Royale, the first to star Daniel Craig as the secret agent.
