Porsche UK commenced on June 1st an extension of warranty on its Approved Used cars by two years.

For many motorists, the Approved Used scheme for used Porsche models is the avenue through which they buy their first Porsche car, and the new two-year warranty initiative draws more appeal to the prospect of owning a Porsche.

Every Approved Used Porsche unit is subjected to a painstaking 111-point assessment at any Porsche Centre before its resale that underwrites and endorses its attribution. Each vehicle is reconditioned whenever required and only genuine Porsche parts are used to fix the car to meet the required standard. Among the comprehensive tests performed include verifying the ownership and service history. Cars that successfully pass these tests get a special distinction- called the Porsche Approved seal.

Without restriction, the warranty covers 100% of the labour as well as material costs of all works in the engine, air conditioning/heating, fuel system/cooling system, brake system, steering/suspension, transmission/drive assembly, body and electrics.

The warranty is fully transferable if sold back to a Porsche Centre or privately, and as such can increase the car's resale value. Combined with the warranty is the Porsche Assistance kit that offers an inclusive level of Europe-wide cover such as car hire, road-side recovery and hotel accommodation when necessary.
