Quietly good C3 could replace used Citroens
05 November 2009
Used Citroen drivers who want to sell up might find a suitable replacement in the C3 1.6HDi.
Used Citroen drivers looking to replace their current motor may want to check out the C3 1.6HDi, which was recently described as "quietly good" by a reviewer.Top Gear's Tom Ford gave the vehicle a once-over and said taking to the road in the supermini was a better experience than in its predecessor.
While its engine may not be the most powerful on the market, it has accurate steering and can deal with many potentially difficult bumps in the road, he stated.
Looks-wise, it has flashes of the C3 Picasso and is much more aesthetically pleasing than some of its competitors.
"It makes the Polo look dull and the Fiesta a bit Focus-lite," Mr Ford explained.
"Unsurprisingly, it looks best in a bright colour on 17-inch wheels."
He also commented on the car's mix of quirkiness and originality, suggesting that while it does not overwhelm would-be buyers with its brilliance, it is a good all-rounder and "has a bit of character".
Other cars that used Citroen drivers can currently consider as possible replacements include the Grand C4 Picasso and the Nemo Multispace.
