Range Rover focus on performance, capability and refinement

The Range Rover Sport and Discovery 4 are set to be unveiled at the New York International Motor Show.
"World beating performance" and luxury are just two of the starring features of the upcoming vehicles from Range Rover, it has been revealed.The New York International Motor Show is to be the launch pad for the 2010 Range Rover Sport and Discovery 4, with performance, capability and refinement some of vehicle's key objectives.
Managing director Phil Popham said: "The new 2010 Range Rover Sport and Discovery 4 combine world beating performance, capability and luxury with reduced CO2 emissions thanks to a stunning new engine and transmission line up.
"Inside, we've moved the game on too, with some innovative new technologies and all-new interiors."
Among the developments is the introduction of a new economical 3.0-litre diesel engine offering motorists 30 miles to the gallon, while those with a greater emphasis on speed could opt for a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 petrol engine on the Sport model.
Elsewhere, the manufacturer has restyled the grilles and brought in some revised bumpers, to go alongside the inclusion of LED lighting.
A review of the current Range Rover Sport by Jason Dawe in the Times revealed that the vehicle has good looks and features high levels of equipment.
