RMIF to announce new member services
30 June 2009New and used car dealers who are members of the Retail Motor Industry Federation (RMIF) will soon find out how they will benefit from the organisation's purchase of the Motor Vehicle Repairers Association (MVRA), it has been announced.
The group revealed it was working with MRVA founder Mike Monaghan in a bid to make sure the transition period goes smoothly.
It stated Mr Monaghan's input would be crucial, adding it was delighted to have him on board.
Commenting on the impact of the acquisition, RMIF chief executive Rob Foulston said: "Our purchase of the MVRA has afforded us the opportunity to upgrade the RMIF's membership offering."
He explained the organisation expects to announce new services such as health and safety checks and field auditing in the near future.
Earlier this month, RMIF said the scrappage scheme should have a significant impact on car sales in the coming months, but it was too soon to see the effects at the moment.
