After several turbulent months, which put its future in uncertainty, Saab Automobile is moving its way back to the top. The Swedish carmaker unveiled on Thursday the all-new Saab 9-5 in the UK market, positioning it as a competitive alternative for customers in the premium saloon segment.

Lauded by Saab Automobile as its number one candidate in the premium saloon division, the brand-new 9-5 is the most technically sophisticated car ever manufactured by the company. It is equipped with state-of-the-art features including adaptive headlights, an aircraft-inspired HUD (head-up information display), DAB radio, MP3/iPod integration, keyless entry and starting, Harman Kardon audio system, dual-zone climate control, adaptive cruise control, XWD with electronic LSD, and adaptive parking assistance.

We are very excited about the new 9-5 and we are confident it will be a great success for our dealers in the UK, said Jonathan Nash, Saab Automobiles UK Managing Director. The new Saab 9-5 combines the emotional appeal of a contemporary, modern Saab with all the rational appeal of a spacious five-seater premium saloon, with high levels of standard equipment, innovative functional features and competitive pricing.

The brand new Saab 9-5 has two specification levels available. First is the Vector SE specification, which is available with either a 2.0L petrol engine or 2.0-L TiD diesel engine, with highlights such as leather/textile comfort seats, 17 alloy wheels, heated front seats, park assist and cruise control among others. Customers can also go for the higher Aero specification with features including the 2.8T petrol engine with XWD, 19 alloy wheels, bi-xenon headlights, sport chassis, and leather sport seats among others.

Saab Automobiles new 9-5 is now available to order from trusted dealerships with prices ranging at 26,495 pounds for the Vector SE 2.0 TiTD 160PS and a starting price of 31, 195 pounds for the Aero.
