Skoda celebrates its customer relationships with lavish award ceremony in Prague.
Skoda UK celebrated its customer relationships by announcing its Retailers of the Year 2009 at a ceremony in Prague.Among the standout winners were Simpsons Skoda from Great Yarmouth, Rainworth Skoda from Mansfield and DM Keith from Leeds, who took the three overall Retailer of the Year gongs.
Andrew Aldis, retailer principal of Simpson's Skoda, highlighted the Yeti and Fabia as the best cars for his outlet in 2009 and indicated strong customer focus was the cornerstone of its success.
Mr Aldis said: "It's down to looking after our customers. It feels like we're all very close to the customers they are very loyal and love the products."
The awards came at the end of a record year for the company as the brand secured a best-ever market share of 1.9 per cent.
Skoda calls itself "the manufacturer of happy drivers", citing a JD Power customer satisfaction survey which found 98 per cent of Skoda drivers said they would probably recommend the cars to a friend.
