Skoda sales rise in November

Car maker Skoda enjoyed positive sales figures for November, it has said.
Drivers of used and second-hand Skodas can rest in the knowledge that the brand remains popular and well-received.Skoda revealed that demand for its cars in the UK rose by 45.3 per cent year-on-year for the month of November.
This means that 2,511 Skodas were bought in the UK over this time.
Worldwide, the month saw 55,460 Skodas being sold, showing a 26 per cent increase when compared to the same month in 2008.
According to Skoda, the Fabia supermini is the most popular car, with the Octavia coming in second place.
The company said in a statement that it has "never been in a stronger position to continue to grow its market share than in 2010".
Earlier this month, Skoda revealed that the Yeti model had been named Car of the Year by the Czech Motoring Journalists Club.
This automobile was also given the title of Best Family Car by the Top Gear Awards for 2009.
