Special edition of Dacia Duster to arrive in German market

Renault has announced that they will be releasing their Dacia brand into the UK market at the end of 2012. The brand has already proved to be hugely popular across Europe with their Duster off-roader selling exceptionally well in both France and Germany. The carmaker has also made an announcement about its plan to introduce a special edition of the Duster model in Germany.
The special edition Dacia Duster will be called the Duster Edition FC St. Pauli in the country. The name of the model was derived from a German soccer team, FC St. Pauli, in Germanys second league.
The new Duster Edition FC St. Pauli will feature otto engines with the diesel powertrain. The company will offer the car into two versions, including 1.5 dCi 4x4 and 4x2 1.6i 16v. The Dusters special edition has the capacity of generating an output of 110 hp. The pricing of the car in the German market starts from 14,400 euros for the 4x2 1.6i 16v to 18,200 euros for the 1.5 dCi 4x4.
Dacia has also announced that a specially-tuned Duster will take part in the celebration of the 20th anniversary of Rallye Aicha des Gazelles in Morocco. The event is held on 15-28 March of this year.
After taking part in this winters Trophce Andros ice-racing series, Dacia Duster is about to tackle the cocktail of sand dunes and mountainous terrain provided by this years Rallye Aicha des Gazelles. The event starts in Erfoud and is based on a format of six legs, for a total distance of more than 2,500 km through the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains and the Sahara Desert in southern Morocco, said Renault in a statement.
