Jaguar is offering two option packages for its new 2011 Jaguar XKR, which it officially unveiled at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show. Buyers can choose from between the Speed Pack and the Black Pack. If they choose both, they would receive the 2011 Jaguar XKR Special Edition.
The Black Pack option features 20-inch black Kalimnos wheels. Exterior changes on the car include black side vents, window surrounds and grille work. Buyers can avail themselves of optional XKR body graphics, which have some similarities with the graphics seen on limited edition Porsche models. The Black Packs interior is composed exclusively of dark charcoal leather, which comes with a choice of grain and piping options, and Dark Mesh Aluminium, Piano Black or Dark Oak trim. The Black Pack option is available only for cars with Salsa Red, Polaris White or Ultimate Black colouring.
The Speed Pack includes a top-speed governor, boosting the maximum speed limit from 155 mph to 174 mph, both electronically operated. In this option, the cars direct injection engine will remain untouched. Exterior modifications include a new front splitter, a body-colour rear diffuser, side-sill extensions, a taller rear spoiler, as well as chrome-finished window trim and hood nostrils. The Kasuga wheels included in the pack have a great resemblance to the wheels of the Bentley Continental Speed. This option is available only to models coloured in Ultimate Black, Salsa Red, Polaris White, Lunar Grey, Liquid Silver, Kyanite Blue and Spectrum Blue.
The two options both feature red brake callipers. Unfortunately, both the Speed Pack and the Black Pack are not currently available in the US.
