Subaru Boxer Diesels make their mark in the UK

It has been stated that used car fans buying a Subaru vehicles are getting a good car on the cheap.

Used Subaru cars are one of the UK's "best-kept secrets", it has been claimed.

According to Andrew Soul, managing director of Milton Keynes-based Subaru dealer Souls Garages, used Subaru cars have an unjustly low profile considering their quality.

However, he suggests that this is starting to change, with the new Subaru range of Boxer Diesels proving a trailblazer for the Subaru brand.

"The new diesels are already having an immense impact on people’s perception of the Subaru brand," Mr Soul commented.

"We have noticed increased footfall this year through our showroom compared to the same period in 2008 and the reason is simple - Subaru diesels are here."

Mr Soul was commenting following the decision of the Ring family from Wellingborough to buy not one but two Subaru vehicles in the space of just a few days.

Matthew Ring was so impressed with the Forester XC Boxer Diesel after taking it for an extended test-drive that he took his father back to the dealership so he could try out the Subaru Boxer Diesel Legacy - with both father and son ending up putting their names down for their respective choice of cars.

Subaru is currently celebrating the 15th anniversary of the release of the Subaru Impreza turbo.
