Supply of used Hyundai models may remain steady
07 August 2009
Hyundai has claimed it is doing better than ever, despite the recession.
There may be plenty of used Hyundai models on the market in the coming years, if new figures are anything to go by.According to the company, the fact its i10 has proved such a hit with scrappage scheme customers has propelled it into the top ten in terms of auto sales in the UK.
This is the first time the manufacturer has achieved this feat.
It claimed the government's cash for bangers initiative has seen customers queuing to get into its dealerships.
So far, the i10 has been the number one model of choice with UK participants in the programme.
Managing director Tony Whitehorn suggested the company would continue to reap the benefits of the scheme for many years.
He predicted the thousands of Hyundai motorists created by the initiative would go on to tell their family and friends about the vehicles.
"We know this will keep driving new customers into our showrooms," he stated.
Meanwhile, if the company carries on selling plenty of models straight off the production line, it should ensure there is a steady flow of used Hyundai cars coming to market as well.
