Team autoweb for the Jane Tomlinson Appeal

We’ve been getting in the Olympic mood here at Autoweb, as London 2012 is so far shaping up to be a huge success!

Team Autoweb are going to be taking part in the "Run For All" in York on Sunday 5th August to raise money for the Jane Tomlinson appeal. The Jane Tomlinson Appeal was established to raise funds for childrens and cancer charities. To date the team have raised over £3 million for a whole host of deserved causes throughout the UK.

"Run For All" is a sponsored 10k race around the city of York. This will be the 4th year the race has been held in the historic city, with thousands of people having taken part in creating the incredible atmosphere that comes with the biggest 10k in North Yorkshire.

The route will take in some of the great sights and scenes that the city of York has to offer, including the Minster and Cliffords Tower. Having recently received a Gold Status from the British Association of Road Races for their exceptionally high standard of event organising and their commitment to the runners talking part in the race, the run for all is not only one of the biggest in North Yorkshire, but also one of the best.

Cabinet Member for Leisure Councilor Sonja Crisp said “As a city we are extremely proud to have been chosen to host another run in Janes name, helping raise large sums of money for the Jane Tomlinson appeal and other worthwhile charities yet again”

She added “York is a magnificent city for this kind of event and we appreciate the positive publicity by such a popular, fun and inclusive event”.

This year sees the 10th year of the Jane Tomlinson appeal. It’s also the 800th anniversary of York becoming a self-governing city, and massive celebrations are planned right across the city for the coming year. And what better way to celebrate all of the fantastic work that’s been done by both the City of York, run for all, and of course the Jana Tomlinson appeal, than with a run around one of the most picturesque cities in the UK. It’s something that all of us here at Autoweb are proud to be involved with, and we’re all looking forward to Sunday.
