Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles UK has launched a new test drive offer to encourage customers to experience how easy and smooth the functional VW Crafter is. As an additional incentive, customers who take the test before 30 September will have the chance to win business supplies worth £5,000.

The Crafter has received positive feedback since the company introduced in 2009 the more refined five-cylinder BlueTDI engines with improved transmission and lower emissions, which are fairly beyond the Euro5 standards. An optional Stop/Start system has later been introduced to offer even further savings on fuel with reduced noise, emissions and engine wear.

The Crafter is available with long, medium and short wheelbase plus extra high, high and low roofs, so it can suits any type of businesses. The car range includes kombis, panel vans, window van people carriers and off-the-shelf conversions with Luton and tipper bodies. The kombi has five seats with a folding/removable rear bench, while the panel van can carry load volumes from 7.5 to 17 cubic metres. The window van can accommodate up to nine passengers.

"The Crafter has to be driven to really appreciate why it has received so many positive comments in road test reports about how smooth it is to drive", said David George, marketing head for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles UK.

"It delivers everything you would expect from a big van, yet is so good to drive that it makes you feel like you are in a much smaller van", added George.

The Crafter is priced from £18,000, or available from £349 per month with the current Contract Hire and Finance Lease offers.
