As the economic crisis slowly begins to ease, the car industry is also starting to recoup the losses it had incurred. Auto manufacturers have bought new automobiles into the market, and sales have slowly begun to increase. And as the auto industry begins its recovery, auto manufacturers are starting to plan for the future. However, for the year 2040, certain car designers are proving one step ahead of the others with their far-from-normal car designs.
The ingeniously crafted concept car Mercedes C.S.V. by Derek Chik Kin Ng is one such vehicle. The cars designer explained that the off-road capable 2-seater Mercedes is designed for bold, young professionals in 2040. The Mercedes C.S.V. (Cyborg Sensation Vehicle) is inspired by the Mercedes F400 concept.
Organics and technology are bound to be combined in the future. This car works on technology combined with organics to drive the vehicle using only the drivers thought. The drivers thought patterns are sent to the car while sitting in the drivers seat. Thus the car runs without the use of analogue controls.
Theres a lot of F400 in there but the designer wanted to give the vehicle an organic flavour, hence the muscle fibres flanking each side, neatly tucking into a hidden skeletal system. The result is a design that takes Mercedes Benz DNA and evolves it into an organic object mimicking its pilot.
The year 2040 may seem too far to wait for, but the Mercedes C.S.V. concepts extraordinary idea as well as its design, may just be enough to watch out for.
