The first full hybrid vehicle that will be launched as part of the premium compact segment at the Geneva Motor Show is the Lexus CT 200h. The vehicle will start production later this year, and it is set to be sold worldwide. It is going to provide a gateway to the range of Lexus car and hopefully attract younger customers.
The full hybrid model was developed and designed to target the European union. It is the first five-door compact car built by Lexus. Its packaging, size, low emissions and full hybrid technology satisfies environment-conscious and discerning buyers. It is packed with great features to make driving a pleasurable experience, along with top quality and refinement.
The CT 200h has a strong visual link to the Lexus LF-Ch concept car, which was introduced during the Frankfurt motor show last year. Its style marks an evolution of the L-finesse design philosophy that gives emphasis on a sharp-edged and distinctive look, which makes it stand out among other premium compact rivals.
Lexus has used the same asymmetrical design in the dashboard in the LF-Ch for the CT 200h. Following the concept of the Future Lexus Interior, the dashboard has a Display Zone with a LCD screen and an Operation Zone, with shift lever and Lexuss Remote Touch controller.
The Hybrid Drive system of the CT 200h is a combination of a 1.8-litre VVT-i petrol engine and a powerful electric motor. Drivers will have four choices of drive modes: NORMAL and ECO gives emphasis on comfort and efficiency, while the SPORT is focused on dynamic performance.
